On 20th October 2019, AIUB Computer Club (ACC) arranged the prize-giving ceremony of the “JARVIS – Intra ACC Carnival 2019”, “orientation program” for the newly recruited member of Fall 2019-20 semester along with the celebration of the club’s “7th Foundation Day” at the Multipurpose Hall of American International University-Bangladesh.
The program started with welcoming the newly recruited members and briefing about the history and visions of the club. AIUB Computer Club (ACC) extends its sincere gratitude towards the Office of Student Affairs (OSA)for the support to organize this event. In addition to that, the new members were also introduced to the current and ex-executive bodies, founding members and the advisors of ACC. Afterward, special guest Mr. Manzur H. Khan, Associate Professor, FST, and the Director of Office of Student Affairs (OSA), Abhijit Bhowmik, Senior Assistant Professor and Special Assistant of OSA, Sharfuddin Mahmood, Assistant Professor and Special Assistant of OSA, and Md. Al-Amin, Lecturer, FST joined the program. Manzur H. Khan congratulated the newly recruited members and gave them words of encouragement for their bright futures. Mr. Abhijit Bhowmik requested new members to follow the rules and regulations of the university and the club and expressed great expectations from every member presented in the room. After their speeches, certificates and crests of the winners and runner up of “JARVIS – Intra ACC Carnival 2019” is awarded among the students.
The 7th Foundation of ACC is also celebrated by cutting a cake with all the present members.
In the second portion, the newly recruited members introduced them and expressed their desires with the club. Then, Ratul Minhaz, Soft. Engineer, Pathao Ltd provided an incisive speech, where he shared the advantages of working in a team and asked the members to develop different skills during the undergraduate level. The amazing program came to the conclusion with a cultural program arranged by the members of the club and a photo session with the special guests, alumni, and the members.
