On 29 April 2026, Wednesday , a workshop titled “From Code to Cloud: Practical DevOps with AWS” was held at the D Building Multipurpose Hall. The workshop was organized by AIUB Computer Club (ACC) in collaboration with Cloudly Infotech Limited. The main objective of the event was to give hands on experience and industry insights into DevOps and cloud technologies.
The first speaker, Mr. Abdullah Al Shabab, Brand Strategist, Cloudly Infotech Limited, gave a speech regarding the technologies that Cloudly Infotech Limited works towards future scopes in this field and how it works with devOps .
The second speaker, Mr. Shaharia Sifat, DevOps Engineer, Cloudly Infotech Limited, discussed key concepts of DevOps, including its importance in modern software development. The speaker also explained the differences between Docker and Virtual Machines (VMs) and introduced the fundamentals of cloud computing. Additionally, the speaker invited a recent graduate currently working at Cloudly Infotech Limited on stage to share his real-life experiences. This helped students to understand more about the practical aspects of working in the DevOps and cloud computing field. After that, the speaker guided students step by step through installation and setup processes. The students were very attentive during the entire session. Lastly, the speaker gave a live demonstration on Netflix Project deployment using AWS. This helped students to learn through hands-on experience.
During the event, Abhijit Bhowmik, Associate Professor, Faculty, Department of Computer Science, American International University-Bangladesh and Ishmam Mahdy, Head of Operations, Cloudly Infotech Limited were also present in the workshop.
After the session ended, Dr. Md. Saef Ullah Miah, Associate Professor, Additional Director [IQAC], Department of Computer Science, American International University- Bangladesh , gave a heartwarming speech thanking AIUB Computer Club and Cloudly Infotech Limited for such an informative workshop with hands on learning experience for the students and presented tokens of appreciation to the speakers and guest as a gesture of gratitude. After that, a group picture was taken.
Overall, the event was informative and inspired students to explore DevOps and cloud computing as potential career paths. The enthusiasm that students showed was immense, more than 200 participants participated in the workshop. The event helped the students gain practical experience with DevOps and cloud computing.
