Last 27th of February, a campaign for ‘Soft Expo 2019’ was carried out at the AIUB campus. Organized by BASIS Student’s FORUM AIUB Chapter, this spectacular event was joined by many enthusiastic students of AIUB. Very important individuals from the software industry joined the event held at the Multipurpose Hall of AIUB. Those include Didarul Alam Director, BASIS, Engr. J Kabir CEO of 88 Innovations & Wasek Sazzad Executive Officer, PR & Media, BASIS who was also the host of the event. A faculty member of AIUB & another important figure of the software industry Abhijit Bhowmik Senior Asst. Professor & Special Asst. of OSA (Office of Student Affairs), AIUB also joined the event. They all discussed about the ‘Soft Expo 2019’. They encouraged the attendees to participate in the grand event. The steps to participate in the event was also shown to the attendees. To increase the enthusiasm of the students to participate in the event they shared their experiences in the industry and said about the importance of the event. Tawfiq Elahi Plabon, Convener of BASIS Student’s Forum Daffodil International University also joined the event. To inspire the students even more a simple quiz competition with candy as a prize was arranged. At the end of this stupendous occasion, the attendees were provided with snacks.
While all of this happened, the real event is on another level. ‘BASIS SOFT EXPO 2019’ is going to be held for 19th to 21st March of 2019. Visitor Registration is fully free. There would be more than 7 zones, 100 speakers, 40 seminars and 6 expos in this gigantic event. Besides, students would have a great opportunity to submit their CV’s to the 250+ attending Software Companies. Attendees can have a very good hands on experience about good quality software and learn about the standards of the software industry by joining the event.
