AIUB Computer Club (ACC) held the “Orientation Ceremony” for the newly recruited members of Spring 22-23 Recruitment on March 15, 2023, at 4:30 p.m. in Multipurpose Hall, Annex-7, AIUB. The entire event was hosted by Tunaj Ahmed, General Member, ACC and Samabil Haque, General Member, ACC.
Ms. Tunaj and Mr. Samabil opened the ceremony by extending a warm welcome to all alumni, current members as well as newly recruited members. As the program went on, hosts created opportunities for new members to interact with one another. Niloy Roy, General Secretary, ACC presented the club’s history, mission, and vision. Moreover, he inspired the new members to become active club members by introducing them to other club segments. The executive committee, including Hasan Sanjary Islam, Vice president, ACC then introduced themselves and urged new members to work.
In the meantime, Abhijit Bhowmik, Associate Professor and Special Assistant, Office of Student Affairs, Computer Science and Club Advisor, ACC graced the ceremony with his presence in the ceremony. Mr. Bhowmik briefed the new club members on club activities and procedures and encouraged them to balance extra-curricular with curricular activities. Mr. Bhowmik also announced the most awaited intra ACC competition program Jarvis 4.0 by showing everyone the teaser of it.
The newly recruited members received good advice from the alumni. Alumni and current club members contributed to the event’s vibrancy with their virtuous endeavors; a brief cultural program was organized, and each member loved the performance. Abdur Rahman Emon, President of ACC then took the platform and wished the newly recruited members good luck for their journey with ACC ahead. After taking group photographs, the event successfully concluded.
