A workshop on “Get Into Event Photography” was arranged by the AIUB Computer Club (ACC) held on November 15th, 2022 at 5.00 pm at Annex-1.
The key speakers of this workshop were Md. Sabbir Shikder Orid, Former Assistant General Secretary, Event Coverage & Post Production, ACC and Faiaz Ben Reza, Former Assistant General Secretary, Event Coverage & Post Production, ACC. The host of the workshop was Maliha Tasnuva, Assistant General Secretary, Event Coverage & Post Production, ACC.
Ms. Tasnuva inaugurated the workshop by introducing both speakers to the audience. The main purpose of the workshop was to teach newcomers the fundamentals of photography and picture editing. Mr. Orid started the workshop with a great overview of shutter speed, ISO, motion blur, aperture, basic framing, etc. He also gave them a hand on experience by manipulating the fundamental features of a camera on site.
After that, Mr. Faiaz took the lead and discussed some major aspects of picture editing as well as framing. He introduced the audience to the basic components of different photo editing software and their functionalities. Additionally, he showed them the difference between a non-edited and an edited picture to make them understand about the importance of editing.
Nevertheless, there was a Q&A session where attendees were given chances to discuss the presenters’ points of view. At 7:45 PM, when the session concluded, the audience highly regarded the knowledge they had gained. There were 23 registered attendees in the workshop. All of them became more interested in photography and editing after the workshop was taken which made the workshop a success.
