On 12th August, 2023, AIUB Computer Club arranged the farewell ceremony of the Club executives of Summer’ 21-Summer’22 along with BASIS AIUB Student’s Chapter’s executives of Summer’21-Summer’22 and Firefox@AIUB’s executives of Summer’21-Summer’22 at Multipurpose Hall Annex-7 of American International University Bangladesh.
The session was initiated with the warm felicitation of two hosts, Ms. Lamyea Farha, Assistant general Secretary of Media and publication of AIUB Computer Club and Mr. Samabil Haque, general member of AIUB Computer Club. Numerous Alumni of AIUB Computer Club were present at the session along with current members of AIUB Computer Club. At the beginning of the session a few videos were played to tribute the works of former executives. The focus of that activity was not only to share memories with others but also to share their affection. All the Alumni who were present at the ceremony gave some valuable thought to the existing members and encouraged juniors to work for the betterment of the club and how to maintain the legacy of the club. After that Niloy Roy, president of AIUB Computer Club came up on the stage and thanked everyone for coming as well as sharing his experiences of the club.
The session got more hue with the presence of Mr. Abhijit Bhowmik, Associate professor, Faculty of Science and Technology and Special Assistant of OSA. Mr. Bhowmik graced the stage and shared some valuable insights among the audience as well as talked about the session. Moreover, he wished all the senior members good luck for their future. At the same time, he announced the new executive committee of AIUB Computer Club which is feasible from summer-2023. After that he congratulated new panel members and there was a photo session of new and old executive panel members. At the same time a cake cutting session was held by all the members of ACC for the farewell ceremony.
Lastly, there was a ceremony of reward. All the former executives were honored with crests and certificates by AIUB Computer Club. After that New executive committee took the oath which was conducted by the former members of the Club. At the end of the session, Former President of AIUB Computer Club, Abdur Rahman Emon came up on the stage and thanked everyone. The event concluded with a group photo session.
