On 25th July 2020, AIUB Computer Club (ACC) successfully organized an online workshop on ‘Advanced UI/UX Design’ using the online platform Jitsi Meet. This was the second workshop on this topic followed by another workshop that covered the basic aspects of UI and UX design. The workshop was conducted by Saif Islam, UI/UX designer and former Assistant General Secretary – Design and Decoration, ACC.
The host MD Shahriar Rahman, Assistant General Secretary, Event Coverage and Post Production, ACC inaugurated the workshop at 5:00 PM with his welcome speech. Then, he introduced the speaker, Saif Islam to the participants. Mr Saif started his session by defining UI and UX and he cleared the distinction between the UI and UX. Then, he explained different steps of design including the design process, design principle, and design system. Later, there was a question-answer session, where Mr. Saif took his time to answer all the questions asked by attendees which helped them to clear their confusion and get a clear view of the workshop topic.
The workshop was graced by the presence of Rashidul Hasan Nabil, Lecturer, AIUB and Abhijit Bhowmik, Associate Professor and Special Assistant of OSA, AIUB. They shared their previous experience with the participants and wished them good luck.
M. Raihan Gafur, President, AIUB Computer Club (ACC)concluded the workshop by expressing his gratitude towards the speaker and the former executive committee members who joined during the session and thanked the participants. The workshop was a great success with nearly 40 participants and motivated the attendees who were considering to start their career in UI/UX designing.
