A two-day long national Campus IT Festival-2015 for the seventh time was held at Islamic University of Technology (IUT) aiming to build ICT based campus through technology friendly environment for students. It started from 4th September 2015 and ended on 5th of September. At 10 o clock in the morning with Hasanul Haq Inu -Honourable Minister, Ministry of Information, the chancellor the vice chancellor and the dean of CSE department of IUT along with other teachers opened the fest.
There were 1760 participants from all over the country from different schools, colleges and Universities. Different types of contest held at the IT fest. One of them was ICT Olympiad. It was an individual event. 153 participants attended the Olympiad from different universities and colleges. American International University Bangladesh (AIUB) was the champion of that ICT Olympiad. Abdullah Al Imran, a regular student of AIUB CSE department achieved the 1st place on ICT Olympiad.
The ICT Olympiad started from 3 pm on 5th September. The Olympiad question was in MCQ format. Everyone had to answer 30 MCQs in 20 minutes. All the questions was related to present technology, programming knowledge, algorithm & data structures knowledge, analytical math and so on. The Olympiad ended at 3:20 pm.
The participant from AIUB is a member of AIUB Computer Club (ACC). A short note to be added that ACC has been facilitating all the trainings and activities that are being arranged and organized in university campus. The winner is an active member of ACC and ACC is also proud of his achievement.
