Orientation Ceremony of Recruitment Summer 24-25

The Orientation Ceremony Summer 2024-25 of AIUB Computer Club for the newly recruited members took place on 24th August, 2025 in the Multipurpose Hall, D building. The event officially began at 4:30 PM with a warm welcome as the new members arrived and exchanged greetings.

The interactive segment allowed the new members to introduce themselves and share their experiences from the viva session, praising the guidance and support of the seniors. This session provided an opportunity for mutual interaction, creating a welcoming environment. It also helped establish a foundation for stronger connections between the newly selected members and the existing members.

Distinguished faculty members, including Dr. S. A. M. Manzur Hossain Khan, Proctor and Professor of the Department of Computer Science, Mr. Abhijit Bhowmik, Associate Professor and Special Assistant of Office of Students Affairs (OSA), and Sharifuddin Mahmood, Assistant Professor and Special Assistant of Office of Students Affairs (OSA), joined the event and welcomed the new faces. Dr. Khan announced the newly appointed executives of BASIS Students’ Forum AIUB Chapter, Firefox@AIUB, and the new executive committee of AIUB Computer Club, while highlighting notable alumni achievements. Mr. Bhowmik welcomed the recruits and encouraged them to practice punctuality, regularity, and perseverance.


The current President, Abu Jafar Sisty,  shared the club’s legacy, signature events such as CS Fest, Jarvis, and Cyber Gaming Fest, as well as seminars, workshops, and industry visits, along with the introductions of the executive bodies up to the 11th batch. He also spoke about BASIS and Firefox wings. The former President, Niloy Roy, congratulated the newly appointed committee and members.

The President and General Secretary of Drama Club delivered speeches, encouraging perseverance and dedication. Representatives from other clubs, including Aiub Social Welfare-Somoy Club, AIUB Film Club, AIUB Photography Club and AIUB Oratory Club congratulated the members and emphasized discipline, active participation in club activities.

The program concluded with cultural performances of singing and dancing, and light refreshments. A group photo session captured the unity and enthusiasm of AIUB Computer Club, bringing together all members and strengthening the bond between current, new, and former members. The event also gave new members a chance to meet and connect with alumni and senior members, encouraging guidance and support. Overall, it marked an important beginning for the newcomers while celebrating the club’s new era with new executives.
