On Saturday, May 24, 2025, the grand Award Giving Ceremony of the vTutor MOS Bangladesh Championship 2025 was held at American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB), marking a proud conclusion to the country’s first Microsoft Office Specialist Championship.
The ceremony began at 4:00 PM with a recitation from the Holy Quran, accompanied by its meaning. This was followed by a heartfelt welcome speech from Kazi Shamim, Co-Founder & Chief Learning Officer of vTutor, where he expressed gratitude to the Almighty, the associate universities, and all participants. He highlighted the incredible three-year journey of vTutor and shared a video with glimpses of the competition from the university to the national level. He also announced that 90% of participants succeeded in achieving certification, a remarkable milestone and a proud moment for vTutor.
Professor Dr. Saiful Islam, Vice-Chancellor of AIUB, was honored with a crest. In his speech, he praised the importance of such competitions for youth skill development and expressed pride in AIUB’s role as a host.
The Keynote Speaker, Mohammad Mahmuduzzaman, Joint Editor of Jay Jay Din, delivered an inspiring address, invoking the story of Alexander not conquering Bengal to emphasize the bravery and brilliance of Bengalis. He referenced great minds like Jagdish Chandra Bose, Nobel laureates got Nobles working on his work, and connected their spirit with innovators like Elon Musk and Bill Gates, highlighting philanthropy and visionary leadership. He also shared the story of Bill Gates and Warren Buffett meeting as they share a philosophy of using wealth for human welfare highlighting the mentality of giving.
Kazi Shamim returned to the stage to remind everyone that “life is about choices,” encouraging students to chase dreams regardless of barriers, stating that even registration fees should not stand in the way of ambition.
Dr. Mahmudul Hasan, PSC and Vice-Chancellor of BUP, was handed out a crest and he delivered a motivational speech emphasizing that “nothing is impossible” and that the competition wasn’t just about certification but creativity and leadership.
The University Round winners were then announced, with medals awarded to 2nd runner-up, 1st runner-up, and Champion in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint categories respectively.
Chief guest Kazi Moshtaque Zahir, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Youth, handed out crest and gave a speech, commending the initiative and acknowledging its immense value for youth empowerment.
Next came the National Round winner announcement, with 2nd runner-up, 1st runner-up, and Champion in each category receiving medals, crests, and dummy checks as symbols of their achievement.
The event concluded with a vgroup photo session featuring winners and distinguished guests together on stage.
Finally, MD Faruk Hossain, Co-Founder & Chief Academic Officer of vTutor, delivered the closing speech, stressing the responsibilities of the winners as they prepare for the upcoming international round in the USA. He encouraged them to share knowledge and engage others. He also announced that vTutor will continue to provide support through tutorials and will arrange more competitions in the future.
