On Thursday, 30th October 2025, AIUB Computer Club went on a valuable industry visit to Augmedix Bangladesh, located in Tejgaon. The visit aimed to provide students with practical exposure to corporate culture, business operations and key career preparatory insights. The session was referenced by the presence and guidance of professionals from Augmedix, including Mr. Rashed Noman, Country Managing Director; Mr. Musfiqur Rahman Preo, Talent Partner; Ms. Shakira Mustahid, Senior People Partner; and Mr. Iqra Owhee, People Partner. Their guidance enriched the experience, making it both interactive and informative.
The visit began with an initial briefing by Mr. Iqra Owhee, where attendees were welcomed and introduced to the schedule and purpose of the tour. Following this, participants were taken on an office tour, providing a glimpse into the innovative workspace and collaborative environment that shapes Augmedix’s operations. The tour highlighted how technology, teamwork and efficiency came together to support Augmedix’s global service model.
After the tour, a short introduction session was held about Augmedix, where Mr. Musfiqur Rahman Preo explained the company’s mission and vision. Augmedix specializes in transforming the healthcare experience by utilizing remote documentation services that allow doctors to focus more on patient care. The organization’s culture emphasizes teamwork, continuous learning and empathy driven operations. Light snacks were served during this segment, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere.
The main session began with a detailed discussion on The Augmedix Story, Business Model and Operations. Speakers explained how Augmedix collaborates with healthcare professionals worldwide by integrating technology to reduce documentation burdens. Also, the newly started RCM was explained. This allowed students to understand the real world impact of tech solutions in improving healthcare efficiency.
Further elaboration on career pathways and the application process at Augmedix was discussed. The selection steps were clearly outlined to help interested applicants prepare effectively. Preparing a Harvard Business School style CV tailored to professional standards to apply, taking an English Proficiency Test to evaluate communication skills and completing a Technical Test depending on the desired role. This segment provided clarity for aspiring candidates seeking to align their skills with job requirements. Additionally, Mr. Rashed Noman touched upon workplace culture, skill development and the significance of adaptability and communication in a corporate environment. Students were encouraged to keep a high CGPA along with learning, exploring opportunities and building confidence in professional interactions.
The visit concluded with friendly interactions between participants and speakers, followed by group photographs to commemorate the experience. The attendees left with stronger insights into corporate expectations and the importance of bridging academic knowledge with practical skill application. Overall, this industry visit proved to be a highly insightful and motivating experience, offering firsthand exposure to real-world tech-based operations and career preparation strategies.
