AIUB Computer Club arranged a Picnic Summer 2025 and 13th Foundation Day celebration on Saturday, 13 September 2025, at Green Heaven Resort.
The day started as everyone gathered on the AIUB campus at around 7:15 AM. There were a total of 117 members and alumni present. After that, T-shirts were distributed among the participants. The departing time was around 7:45 AM. The check-in time was around 9:15 AM. After a short refreshment break, breakfast was served at 9:30 AM. The fun game segments began at 10:00 AM.
The male members took part in a series of football matches. There was a total of six teams, which made the competition full of energy. Not to mention the final match of football was very thrilling to watch.
Meanwhile, the female members enjoyed a variety of games such as Balance Run, Golla Chut, Juta Churi, and Fish and Fork. These games brought lots of laughter and cheerful moments. The female swimming session began shortly after, which added even more joy to the day.
Later, the male swimming session began. The members got to relax and feel the water after the engaging games.
After the swimming session, everyone took a break, and lunch was served at 2:00 PM. After lunch, female members played a pillow-passing game, beginning at 3.15pm with a rush of excitement and thrills. About 35 female club members participated, and others watched enthusiastically.
The 13th foundation day ceremony was celebrated in the evening. The members gathered around the stage as Mr. Abhijit Bhawmik Sir, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science and Special Assistant, Office of Student Affairs, delivered a heartfelt speech, reflecting on the hardships faced and praising the new executive member for organizing the event. The celebration was concluded by cutting a cake and taking a group photo.
At last came the most-awaited event, the prize-giving ceremony and raffle draw. Firstly, the winners of the football tournament were announced, with Abhijit Bhawmik sir presenting them with the trophy. Then, the top three competitors from each game received their prizes. The female members who came first and first runner-up in the Balance Run and Pillow Passing games, respectively, also received prizes for their performance. The excitement reached a peak during the raffle draw. Meanwhile, the staff handed out some light snacks to everyone to enjoy.
As the event concluded, everyone started to pack their things for departure. By 6.30pm the members were safely seated on their designated bus. Then all the buses departed simultaneously, and every member left with a heart full of an unforgettable memory.
