AIUB Computer Club Fall 25-26 Orientation

The Orientation Ceremony of AIUB Computer Club (ACC) for the Fall 2025–26 newly recruited members was held on 16 November 2025 at the Multipurpose Hall, D Building. The program began at 5:30 PM, where first part was hosted by Ashikur Rahman Shakib and Radia Noushin, followed by Afrina Ashraf and Wasif Shehzad who warmly welcomed all the new members and officially commenced the event.

The opening segment featured an engaging interaction where the hosts randomly invited several new members to the stage. Participants introduced themselves, shared their viva experiences, and took part in fun activities. Some members showcased their talents through singing, while one performed an impressive mimicry act, filling the hall with enthusiasm and positive energy.

Mr. Abhijit Bhowmik, Associate Professor and Special Assistant of the Office of Student Affairs (OSA), joined the event. In his speech, he emphasized the values of responsibility, regularity, punctuality and professionalism, reminding members that a club is not a platform for social media popularity but a place to develop skills essential for the industry. He highlighted how ACC shapes students’ discipline, work ethic and readiness for the professional world.

Later on, the President of AIUB Computer Club, Abu Jafar Sisty, took the stage and highlighted the club’s rich history, its legacy and the wide range of activities it actively conducts. He spoke about ACC’s signature events, workshops, industrial visit, team structures, communication culture and the upcoming Cyber Gaming Fest, noting that some game lineups had been updated this year.Following him, the Vice President, Hossain Sami, provided more insight into the preparations and expectations for the Cyber Gaming Fest.The General Secretary, Public Relations AGS, Media and Publication AGS and other executives from all sectors introduced themselves and encouraged the newly recruited members to join their respective teams based on their interests. The stage was vibrant as each department highlighted its work and welcomed fresh faces into the ACC community.

Former GS Anik Islam and club representative Mahmudul Hasan Mahin from AIUB Performing Arts Club (APAC) encouraged the members to participate actively, especially in large-scale events like CS Fest and praised ACC as one of the most dynamic clubs of AIUB.

Later, former AGS Mumtanuz Zaman of the Media & Publication team and Mirza Saikat and Abdus Shakur of the Events team also addressed the attendees and wished good luck to the new recruits. Former BASIS Panel member Ahsan Mahmud Riyad also shared insightful words for the newcomers.Former President Niloy Roy took the stage as well, congratulated the new recruits and stressed the importance of taking responsibility and contributing actively to uphold the club’s standards.

After that, the cultural segment began, followed by performances of dancing, singing and other entertainment acts by club members. The session brought joy and excitement, reflecting the diverse talents within the club. Finally, the President officially concluded the program, thanking everyone for their participation and encouraging the new members to stay engaged and committed to the club’s vision
