AIUB Computer Club Summer 2025-2026 Orientation

AIUB Computer Club (ACC) held a memorable orientation ceremony on August 20, 2026, to welcome its Summer 2025–2026 recruits, where the much anticipated 13th executive committee was officially announced. The ceremony brought together alumni, current members and fresh recruits in perfect harmony. The lively evening created a wonderful environment for an exciting and enjoyable journey ahead.

The program began with a warm welcome from the hosts, who greeted the newly recruited members and introduced them to the ACC family. Several new members were invited to the stage to introduce themselves, share their recruitment experiences and explain why they chose to join AIUB Computer Club. This session helped create a friendly and comfortable environment among the recruits. To make the event even more engaging, participants took part in a series of fun group games and interactive activities, filling the venue with excitement and laughter.

Following the interactive session, the audience had the privilege of hearing from the respected, Dr. Abhijit Bhowmik, Associate Professor and Special Assistant, Office of Student Affairs (OSA), Department of Computer Science, AIUB, warmly welcomed the newly recruited members and spoke about the importance of dedication, discipline and responsibility while working in a student organization. He encouraged students to actively participate in seminars, workshops, and club activities and highlighted how such experiences contribute to personal and professional growth.

Dr. S.A.M. Manzur H. Khan, Professor and Proctor, Department of Computer Science, AIUB, then addressed the audience. He appreciated the continuous efforts of AIUB Computer Club in creating opportunities for students and encouraged the new recruits to remain active throughout their university life. He also formally introduced the newly formed 13th executive committee of ACC and wished them success in their responsibilities for the upcoming term.

The ceremony was further honored by the presence of Mr. Md. Shahariar Parvez, Associate Professor and Special Assistant, Office of Student Affairs (OSA), Department of Computer Engineering, AIUB,  Mr. Md. Mazid-Ul-Haque, Associate Professor and Special Assistant, Office of Student Affairs (OSA), Department of Computer Science, AIUB  and Mr. Rakib Aziz, Officer, Student Welfare and Services, OSA, who joined the event to encourage the new members.

The stage was then handed over to the newly elected executive committee members, who shared their journeys and welcomed the new recruits. Mahbub Hasan, President of AIUB Computer Club, welcomed everyone and provided an overview of the club’s history, founders, advisors, former executive committee and major activities. He shared how ACC has grown over the years through its events, seminars, workshops and competitions.

Naimul Hasan Nabil, Vice President of AIUB Computer Club, delivered a heartfelt speech reflecting on his journey within the club. He encouraged the new members to participate actively and make the most of every opportunity that ACC offers.

Wasif Shehzad Soyem, General Secretary of AIUB Computer Club, also shared his experiences and highlighted how ACC helps students build meaningful connections, gain practical experiences and create lasting memories throughout their university life.

One of the most exciting moments of the evening was the presence of several respected ACC alumni members, whose presence made the event even more special for the newly recruited members.

Jamil Mahmud, Assistant General Secretary of R&D of the 8th executive committee, shared cherished memories from his time in the club. He described ACC as a family where members learn, grow, and support one another while creating unforgettable experiences together.

Hasan Sanjary Islam, Vice President of the 10th executive committee, reflected on some of his favorite moments with ACC and encouraged the recruits to enjoy every stage of their journey while contributing wholeheartedly to the organization.

Many other senior alumni members were also present at the event and shared their stories, experiences and valuable advice with the audience, making the session both inspiring and informative for the newly recruited members.

The event concluded with refreshments and networking among members, alumni and faculty members. The Orientation Ceremony marked the beginning of a new and exciting journey for the Summer 2025–2026 recruits. The evening successfully reflected the spirit of AIUB Computer Club by bringing together different generations of ACC members under one roof and warmly welcoming the newest members into the ACC family.
