On 22nd January 2020, from 3-4 PM BASIS Student’s Forum- AIUB Chapter organized “BASIS Soft Expo 2020 Campus Activation” at American International University-Bangladesh. The program was organized with a view to inform the students of the institute about the upcoming event which will be held on 6th to 9th February, 2020 at International Convention Centre Bashundhara.
The event was inaugurated by Irfanul Karim, Convener, BASIS Student’s Forum- AIUB Chapter, and was graced by the presence of renowned Tech leaders such as, Mr. Tanvir Hossain Khan, CEO & Managing Director, Dreamerz Lab Ltd, Mr. Mustafizur Rahman, Managing Director, Nogor Solutions Limited, Mr. Mian Zadid Rusdid, CEO, Pondit. The guests interacted with the students to inform them about the various opportunities they may receive upon attending the BASIS Soft Expo 2020.
The main focus of the camp was to encourage the students about the program ICT CAREER CAMP that will be held at the BASIS SOFT EXPO 2020 from 2-5 PM, February 8th, 2020 at Hall 1 of ICCB. Mr. Tanvir Hossain Khan discussed about the opportunities of placements of eager and skilled fresh graduates that will be available in the Expo. He also urged the students to develop their skills which will land them their dream jobs. Mr. Mian Zadid Rusdid requested the students to attend the event which will allow them to meet 300+ CEOs of various Tech companies. Mr. Mustafizur Rahaman advised the students to focus on their skills and the false rumour of high CGPA will get them jobs in the Tech industry. The guests participated in a question and answer session which helped the students to remove any kind of confusions regarding the event.
After that, the mentor of BASIS Student’s FORUM AIUB Chapter, Abhijit Bhowmik, Senior Asst. Professor and Special Asst. of OSA at AIUB was awarded with a crest which was received by Irfanul Karim in his absence. There was a quiz session to inspire the students to participate in the ICT CAREER CAMP. The program Ended by awarding the BASIS Student’s Forum – AIUB Chapter’s members with certificates of appreciation and the guests with complimentary souvenirs and a photo session with the students.
