AIUB Computer Club (ACC) Organizes Seminar on “Tech Talk: Cyber Aware Software Engineering”

On 11 th December 2019, AIUB Computer Club (ACC) organized a seminar on “Tech Talk: Cyber Aware Software Engineering” at American International University-Bangladesh. The purpose of the seminar was to inform the young engineers about the importance of cyber security while developing various applications and websites. The guest speaker of the event was Ahsan Ayub, Ph. D. Student and Graduate Research Assistant, Cyber security Education, Research and Outreach Center (CEROC), Tennessee Tech University.

Mr. Ahsan Ayub was a former student of AIUB and completed his graduation in 2016. He commenced the seminar by informing the participants the importance of cyber security and taking necessary steps to insure protection from cyber attacks. He discussed how attackers target and attack various websites and applications and compromising them. He also shared how we can take steps to prevent the attacks. He stated how software testing can be essential to prevent serious harm. Throughout the seminar he encouraged the members of ACC to ask questions regarding the matter for clarification and they asked him various questions on how to further improve security. The productive session was concluded by awarding Mr. Ayub with a token of appreciation by Mr. Abhijit Bhowmik, Senior Assistant Professor [FST], Special Assistant of Office of Student Affairs (OSA).

The members of AIUB Computer Club took a picture with the guest and successfully ended the seminar. AIUB Computer Club would like to thank the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) for their support in arranging the program.
