AIUB Computer Club (ACC), one of the most prestigious clubs of AIUB organized the ‘Orientation Ceremony’ for the newly recruited members of Summer 21-22 Recruitment and ‘10th Foundation of AIUB Computer Club’ on 29th September 2022 at 3:00 pm on Multipurpose Hall, D building, 10th floor. The entire event was hosted by Debashish Dey, Assistant General Secretary, Public Relation, ACC.
The ceremony started with, Mr. Dey’s warm welcome to all existing AIUB Computer Club members and the newly recruited members. As the program went on Mr. Dey created the chance for newly recruited members to interact with each other. Abrar Rafid, president, ACC conveyed the history, mission, and vision of the club. Additionally, he introduced the new members to different segments of the club and motivated them to make themselves active members of the club. After that, a short cultural program was arranged, and every member enjoyed the performance. In the meantime, Abhijit Bhowmik, Associate Professor and Special Assistant, Office of Student Affairs, AIUB, and club advisor, ACC adorned the event with his presence. Mr. Bhowmik inspired the new members about club activities.
After that, Mr. Bhowmik gave a surprising announcement and declared the new executive committee of the club. A cake-cutting ceremony was arranged to celebrate the 10th Foundation Day of AIUB Computer Club. Eventually, the new executive committee took the vow to run the club and work for the club’s betterment. The event was also graced by the honourable alumni; hence the newly recruited members got valuable advice from the alumni and the newly selected committee had some beneficial directions. The arrival of the distinguished advisor and the responses of the club members and alumni made the event entertaining and elegant.
